You've got questions... here are your answers!

Q: Who are you exactly?

A: Carolina Photo Studio consists of the Owner/Lead Photographer/Web designer/Task Master/Bookeeper/Sales Director/Art Designer/Production Manager/Editor/Boss Lady Jessica Dunning Meetze, additional Professional Photographer(s) when the job requires it, and the occasional assistant or intern.

Q: What are your qualifications?

A: I graduated in the top ten percent of my class and received the President's Award for my achievements from Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, Massachusetts in 2004. Since graduation, I have studied under multiple award-winning photographers. I've worked in film labs, digital dark rooms, and a camera store. I have five years experience working for photography companies other than myself. I've successfully owned my own photography business since 2010, and have over 14 years experience photographing small businesses, couples, families, weddings, and more.

Q: Why the name, "Carolina Photo Studio" instead of having your name in the title, like most other photographers?

A: I've never wanted my business to be about ME. When selecting a company name, I wanted something gender-neutral, told a short story about who it is, and left room for the company to grow-if that's what I decided to do. With strictly natural light photographers growing, it was important to me to add "studio" to the title to show I incorporate the use of flash and studio strobe lights in my photography.

Q: Do you travel?

A: Yes! We are located in Newberry, South Carolina. (A town in-between Columbia and Greenville where you will find Newberry College and the Opera House.) We travel all over SC, the United States, and beyond! Other than SC, I've photographed weddings in the Outer Banks, Maine, and Hawaii!

Q: What's the difference between a "Natural" session or wedding and a regular one?

A: This is probably the most asked question since I'm the only photographer out there that I'm aware of that offers this. "Natural" are unedited images. Anywhere you don't see "Natural" listed on my description the images are edited and sometimes retouched as well. Email me to see a sample of "Natural" and edited images. I am still working on a gallery to show these on my website.

Q: Why do I see a lot of the same faces over and over again in your images?

A: I have a lot of returning clients! I'll photograph someone's wedding, then they call me for their maternity, then the next thing you know it's been 5 years and I've photographed multiple family sessions for the same couple! It's awesome! I love seeing the same people back year after year, getting to know them better and seeing their family grow!

Q: Is your package price listed the final price I will pay or are there other fees?

A:  If I'm traveling further than 50 round trip miles from zip code 29108 to photograph your event there is a travel fee of $0.50 per mile. If you wish to purchase any prints, wall art, or products that aren't included in your package those can be added onto your total. 7% SC sales tax is due in addition to your final total. Just shoot me a message letting me know what you are interested in and I can let you know what your grand total will be!
